God has been at work for thousands of years blessing those who worship Him in His appointed Way. That Way is our Savior and King, Jesus Christ, who died to forgive us our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life. It is only because of Jesus that we can approach the throne of Godís grace and receive mercy and blessing.
But Jesus our King has also legislated the Way that we should worship God, which the Church throughout her ages has recognized, including the reading and preaching of Godís Holy Word, the singing of His praises, the sacraments of baptism and communion, and prayer.
And so we draw upon the riches of church history as we worship God together, according to what Christ has appointed in the Bible. For example, our singing spans the centuries and the continents as we sing psalms of King David, songs of early church fathers, hymns of former slaves, and modern songs as well.
We donít easily fit the categories of either traditional or contemporary; instead, we hope that we are biblically faithful and richly historical.
